As fans of past-bedtime TV sessions will no doubt know, Conan O’Brien’s brief run behind The Tonight Show desk comes to an end this week. After a very public grapple with American network NBC, the well-coiffed host has gone all out for his final stand – securing rock great Neil Young as musical guest.

O’Brien has shown himself to be persuasive with his favourite acts in the past, bringing The White Stripes out of hiding in 2009 for his final Late Night broadcast. We look forward to hearing what song Neil Young deems an appropriate send-off.
