Marley and Nas confirm releasedate

Damian Marley and Nas have finally confirmed a release date for their highly anticipated collaboration Distant Relatives and this one sounds like it’s for real.
True to the hip hop game, the album has been threatening to come out all year but has never surfaced, leaving the world’s hip hop and reggae collective wondering.
No more need for wonder though after Jr Gong and Nas held a forum in Washington two Saturdays ago and confirmed the album is set to drop on March 16 2010.
Nas calls it hybrid music, Marley calls it an Africa album and The Source calls it roots rap (must have stayed up all night thinking of that one).
Whatever it is you can be damn sure it’s going to be one of the greatest with two of the most perceptive social observers in the game at the helm.
