Despite the Nine Inch Nails road-show being laid to rest and the tour gear auctioned off, Trent Reznor is promising new material in 2010. The man posted a holiday message to fans on nin.com, suggesting he won’t be laying low in the New Year.
“2010 has a number of things planned including new material from Nine Inch Nails and something else that isn’t Nine Inch Nails,” Reznor writes. “I am in a state of rediscovery and reinvention that feels unfamiliar, unsure and exactly what I need.”
That something else that isn’t Nine Inch Nails may well be Reznor’s planned collaboration with his long-time inspiration Gary Numan. As for the band’s new endeavours, if they continue the good run of The Slip and Ghosts I-IV, fans have another anticipated record to add to the 2010 roll-call.
