It seems Miley Cyrus has finally got her comeuppance for “ruining” Radiohead. The tween superstar’s torch song The Climb has been disqualified from contention in the – œBest Song Written for TV/Motion Picture’ category at next year’s Grammys. Apparently The Climb wasn’t originally written for the film. It’s an exact science, this stuff.
Taking Cyrus’s place is a lady from the other end of the pop spectrum: Where The Wild Things Are collaborator Karen O. All Is Love – the stirring song she crafted with Nick Zinner as the centerpiece of Spike Jonze’s monster romp – is now in the race.
Of course this would be all the more heart-warming if the Grammys still held some currency, but life is about little victories…
