Nielsen has revealed the most-played songs on US radio in the past decade, so you can wonder no longer about what to put on that Christmas mix-tape.

Leading the 2000s with 1.2 million spins in 10 years is Nickelback’s How You Remind Me, with several “Ha! That song!” moments as the list goes on. With not a single hip hop or R&B single in sight, instead US radio jocks couldn’t get enough of Lifehouse, Train and 3 Doors Down.

Every classic in the list below clocked up over one million plays. Count yourself lucky the world is ending in 2012.

The decade’s most popular songs on US radio are as follows…

1. Nickelback – How You Remind Me
2. Train – Drops of Jupiter
3. Lifehouse – Hanging By a Moment
4. Faith Hill – Breathe
5. 3 Doors Down – Kryptonite
6. Faith Hill – The Way You Love Me
7. Lee Ann Womack – I Hope You Dance
