Roskilde 2010 lineup takesshape

With this year’s mammoth line-up to match, the grand dame of European festivals Roskilde has locked in Muse as its first 2010 headliner. The UK trio – endearingly described on the festival website as “showing traces of Queen, U2 and Radiohead” – will bring the dazzle to one of the event’s four nights.

Roskilde, which has run on a not-for-profit charity model since 1971, attracts over 100,000 punters to the fields in south Denmark. Before the festival proper begins, a roll-call of Danish bands provides a full four days of – œwarm-up’ entertainment to help you get acquainted.

Punk miscreants NOFX have also been announced alongside Muse, but many, many more will come in the first round of names.
