The Killers and The Bronxteam-up
Thu 3rd Dec, 2009 in International News
Been kept awake at night wondering what became of Luke Perry’s furrowed forehead? Wonder no more – the 90210 star is back in the video for Happy Birthday Guadalupe, a Christmas single from The Killers and Mariachi El Bronx. Not a paragraph you read every day.
Happy Birthday Guadalupe continues the Killers tradition for festive songs, following previous canonical contributions A Great Big Sled and Don’t Shoot Me Santa. All proceeds raised from sales of the track go the Global Fund To Fight AIDS.
And yes – we did say Mariachi El Bronx. The vihuela-wielding alter-egos of Californian hard-nuts The Bronx toured with the Killers in 2009, making them prime candidates to lend Brandon Flowers a hand in spreading some cheer.
With Luke Perry forehead-acting his way through the video, Happy Birthday Guadalupe is nothing if not one of the year’s most surprising singles.
