Update: Chuck Biscuits deathhoax

UPDATE: Reports have emerged that the Chuck Biscuits death rumours are in fact a hoax. The dupe apparently stemmed from months’ of email correspondence between a blog writer and someone purporting to be Chuck.

Chuck Biscuits – the versatile punk drummer and founding member of Vancouver hard-nuts D.O.A. – succumbed to throat cancer yesterday, aged 44.

Throughout his career, the man sat behind several drum-kits. Further to D.O.A., he was the original drummer for metallers Danzing, and spent a short and volatile stint touring with Henry Rollins’ juggernaut Black Flag in the 1980s.

Chuck also picked up the sticks for the likes of Social Distortion, the Circle Jerks and even hip hop superstars Run DMC over the years.

"Although I can't imagine why a former member of Danzig would want to fake his own death via the Internet, I know plenty of people who severely dislike me and would take any chance they could to play on my gullibility to make me look as stupid as possible (i.e. e-mail me for six months pretending to be a dying drummer I admire). If this is all a big fat lie, I'm sorry, but I promise I was duped just as hard as you."

Fair enough James, but at 830 this morning when the news was on several sites, why would you legitimately believe that it would be a hoax? Okay, it's since transpired that way, but should I have called his family?

Yeah NME, JJJ, infact, all LEGITIMATE international news outlets were reporting this as true.

A user pointed to this facebook on Mess and Noise, which I guess is where Fool got it. So dont aact like you 'did that research;' Fool. Apparently this hoax has been going on for 7 months. Poor Biscuoit.

I don't think he's suggesting that dude. It's more the fact that almost all the articles on this site are lifted from other sources. Sure, there's no means of having direct access to a lot of people.. But yeah.. Says it all, really.

Well. MOST international news is. NO local news or anything else on the site is however. Ill start pigeon mailing the UK at night for my sources to bring us international news that no other international news sites are reporting ;-)
