Soundwave 2010 stars Rolo Tomassi have found an unlikely collaborator for their next album. Philly DJ and super-producer Diplo will oversee the second, as-yet-untitled LP from the brain-scrambling British outfit.

Rolo Tomassi delivered debut Hysterics last year, introducing the world to the possessed howls of frontwoman Eva Spence. The band’s frenetic sound seems an incongruous match for Diplo, but they’re set head to the man’s LA studio to get working. Whatever results from those sessions will be released in March 2010 on Hassle Records.

Maybe Diplo will give us a preview when he plays Falls Festival as part of Major Lazer Soundsystem? Somehow it seems unlikely. Check out the video for Rolo Tomassi’s I Love Turbulence to see for yourself why this is an intriguing hook-up.
