After reforming earlier this year to headline Glastonbury, it seems that the members of Blur are just far too engrossed in other projects to focus on the band.
Guitarist Graham Coxon has confirmed that the group have no further plans to play or record together despite the fact relations between the band remain positive. This dispiriting news (after all, plenty have the band pegged for V Festival here in 2010) comes after Coxon’s earlier hint that “we’re talking about doing some more shows abroad”.
This week, Coxon told NME: “We’re in touch and we say ‘Wotcha’ and all that but nothing has been mentioned about any more shows or anything else. Everyone’s slipped back into what they do when the Blur creature isn’t heaving around. Law and cheese and music, I suppose.”
In the meantime, Coxon is set to tour the UK with a host of guests as The Graham Coxon Power Acoustic Ensemble this November.
IS IT TIME TO NUDGE OUR HOPES FOR A BLUR TOUR OFF THE ‘SUMMER HIT-LIST’?
