Musical entrepreneur Danger Mouse has yet another collaboration on his cards, teaming up with The Shins frontman James Mercer for a project the duo has called Broken Bells.

A debut album has already been coined for early 2010, with rumors of a follow-up already being planned as well. No online material is available yet, but Brokenbells.com has already been launched for fans keen to keep watch.

Danger Mouse is of course one half of Gnarls Barkley and has also collaborated with the Gorillaz, The Black Keys and The Good, The Bad & The Queen. Mercer’s more recent musical activity has been with Mark Linkous of Burton and Sparklehorse on his shared Dark Night of the Soul project.
