Jack White has made a surprise appearance from the audience at the premiere of the White Stripes documentary Under Great White Northern Lights at the Toronto International Film Festival. And you can guess what he did.
“I’m gonna let you finish, I’m gonna let you finish,” White yelled as he grabbed the microphone from director Emmett Malloy, “but Orson Welles made one of the greatest films of all time! Of all time!”
Clearly Jack doesn’t think that one’s gotten old yet.
The film is a chronicle of the Stripes 2007 tour through each of the Canadian provinces. During the tour the band experimented by playing at some interesting venues, including a pool hall, a fishing boat, a bowling alley, a hospital and a flour mill amongst other venues.
There is no word on whether or not the film will make an appearance on Australian shores during the summer arts season. Check out the video below.
