Kanye West has again shown everyone that his ego impedes the flow of blood to his brain, hijacking the stage at today’s MTV Music Video Awards in New York.
As country singer Taylor Swift took to the stage in disbelief that she had beaten Lady GaGa and Beyonce to the – œBest Female Video’ award, Kanye decided it was to be his moment. He stole the microphone from Swift, before proclaiming that Beyonce should have won the award.
Of course this was not an unprecedented incident for Kanye, who burst onto the stage in 2007 after Justice took home the – œBest Video’ award for that year ahead of him. On that occasion he told the media he was upset because he had made the best music video.
“I haven’t seen the [Justice Vs Simian – We Are Your Friends ] video,” he said at the time. “Possibly it could have been quite good, but no way better than Touch The Sky.”
Take a bow Mr. West. Only Zoolander could have done it better.
