Nick Cave is not a man to do things by halves. Currently on promotional rounds for his second novel The Death Of Bunny Munro, the master of murk has cooked up some optional extras. Cave recorded a soundtrack for the book alongside bushranging buddie Warren Ellis, in collaboration with audio artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.

You can hear the new music via that most un-Nick Cave of things: an iPhone app. The Bunny Munro app also includes videos of the author reading the book (formidably). Forsyth and Pollard explain the all-up experience: “We’ve not heard anything like this before – the result sits somewhere between a film soundtrack, a radio play and an hallucination.”
