What Josh Homme did next

Challenging Jack White to the – œhardest working man in rock’ mantle, Josh Homme has turned his attention to Biffy Clyro’s next album Only Revolutions.
The red-nut roughneck and the Scottish rogues hatched their collaboration back in January, after appearing together on BBC Radio 1. Singer Simon Neil jokingly suggested Homme join them in the studio, an offer the man swiftly obliged. Now the Josh and Biffy affair is beginning to bear fruits.
“He came to the studio and listened to the song and two minutes later, he was playing the best guitar solo you’ve ever heard,” Neil told UK mag Kerrang. “Homme’s a master fucking guitarist.”
Skinsman Ben Johnston adds: “Josh didn’t spunk all over the song. There’s no fanfare saying, please welcome Josh Homme! He’s everything you want in a rock star. He just added his take and it fits in with the song perfectly.”
Only Revolutions is expected to arrive in late-October, with no official word as yet on how many songs the star guest has contributed to.
