Finally there is proof that sex and drugs really do go hand in hand with rock and roll. During a 1972 tour of the US, The Rolling Stones commissioned phtotographer Robert Frank to document the band’s crazed antics on and off stage.
The aptly titled Cocksucker Blues was immediately banned from public screening apparently due to the copious amounts of debauchery caught on film, including Mick Jagger snorting coke amidst nude roadies’. Who’d have thought?
Thank god for the internet. Fans and voyeurs alike can now view the film on Flavorwire, at least until it is removed, and then uploaded on another site. Guitarist Keith Richards once declared, “If anyone in America saw it, we’d never be let in the country again”.
US fans must now live out the remainder of their lives Rolling Stone free.
