After news broke that MGMT would be contributing to rap mogul Jay-Z’s upcoming album The Blueprint 3 -we were pretty sure that said album couldn’t get much stranger. However, it seems that Jay-Z has enlisted the king of kook himself – Luke Steele – for a collaboration on the new album as well
According to ever-reliable UK raggers The Sun, Jay-Z has been digging Empire Of The Sun’s style for some time now and convinced Steele to make a vocal contribution to The Blueprint 3. Indeed, the Sun alleges (we say – œalleges’ because this could very easily be phony tabloid speculation) that the result of the collaboration is so stellar that it is going to place it as the lead track on the upcoming record.
It seems Steele is becoming the vocalist of choice for many international artists, it was only two years ago that Yoko Ono asked him to guest on her album, Yes Im a Witch.
