Blur guitarist Graham Coxon has told British radio that there’s a chance for more comeback shows. And in good news for Australian fans, he’s made it clear that he is keen for these shows to extend beyond Europe.
Speaking with XFM Coxon said, “We’re talking about doing some more shows abroad… I’m not sure how much I can say about that, but we’re definitely talking about it.” He’s also indicated that new material is being considered, stating it’d, “be quite good fun.”
While there have often been conflicting reports on whether Blur’s reunion is temporary or otherwise, this seems to be the strongest indicator yet that it will continue. Now, as to whether those shows abroad that he can’t talk about include a possible headline slot at an Australian festival?
With Animal Collective and Yeah Yeah Yeahs both having confirmed Australian tours, it seems more than one of FL’s Most Wanted Tours could eventuate in 2010 after all.
