MGMT join 'The Blueprint 3'
Thu 23rd Jul, 2009 in International News
Those Splendour-bound superstars MGMT are fast becoming the – œspecial guest’ of choice. Just last month, The Flaming Lips announced they’d be channelling some electric feel into upcoming double-disc set Embryonic, while Paul McCartney has expressed interest in a team-up.
Now it transpires the psych-pop upstarts will appear on Blueprint 3, the long-time-coming album from hip hop mogul Jay-Z. Reuters this week revealed the guestlist for the record also includes producers Kanye West, No I.D. and Timbaland and musical collaborators Drake, Mr. Hudson, Rihanna and Kid Cudi. We’re pretty sure MGMT is the odd name out there, but that doesn’t make us any less eager to hear the results.
Was The Blueprint 3 a heinous oversight in our 30 Most Anticipated Albums? We apologise.
