STOP THE PRESSES – LOOKS LIKE THEM CROOKED VULTURES ARE COMING OUR WAY!

The all-star team of Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones has taken up residence in a Los Angeles studio to make a record. The collaboration was first hinted at by Grohl way back in 2005, in an interview with Mojo. “The next project that I’m trying to initiate involves me on drums, Josh Homme on guitar, and John Paul Jones playing bass,” he told the magazine. “That’s the next album. That wouldn’t suck.”

Now Antiquiet has reported that the guys are finally making the dream happen. The website spoke to Homme’s wife and Spinnerette frontwoman Brody Dalle to fish for details. “I’m not at liberty to talk about it,” she deflected, “but I think [the new band] is pretty fucking amazing. Just beats and sounds like you’ve never heard before.”

Earlier this year, John Paul Jones told a French journalist: “We hope to be everywhere this summer.” Yep, that wouldn’t suck.
