Courtney Love revives Hole
Thu 18th Jun, 2009 in International News
In a move that would make her mate Billy Corgan proud, Courtney Love will release new album Nobody’s Daughter under her old band name Hole. While originally conceived as a solo record, the long-delayed LP is now pitched as a follow-up to 1998’s Celebrity Skin.
The revelation came in a video interview with NME, when the magazine visited Love in her studio. Pointing at a poster, she announces, “That shouldn’t say Courtney Love, it should say Hole!”
Former bassist Melissa auf der Maur is apparently coming in to put some finishing touches on the record. She’ll feature in the new version of Hole, alongside guitarist Micko Larkin (who Love showers with praise). Nobody’s Daughter is set to feature collaborations with songwriting hitmaker Linda Perry and, yes, Billy Corgan.
Check out the in-studio video below, and try not to be too distracted by the creepy dolls.
