Placebo scissored at RockNess

Currently on the road to spruik new album Battle For The Sun, agony aunts Placebo suffered some sharp criticism (oh, my sides) at Scotland’s RockNess Festival on the weekend. The band walked offstage only four songs into their set, when a member of the crowd apparently threw a pair of scissors at frontman Brian Molko.
“My safety cannot be guaranteed, so I’m leaving,” Molko said, before leading his bandmates offstage to a chorus of boos. Despite the threat of imminent impaling, Placebo returned not long after to complete the performance. With the trio looking to tour Australia “around January”, we hope their shows aren’t ‘cut’ short.
