Millencolin Are In KingswoodCountry

Hugely successful Swedish punk outfit Millencolin are back with their new album Kingwood, available late March on Burning Heart Records label released here through Shock Records.

The albums first single Ray was released in a limited run this week and immediately added to high rotation on Triple J. Included on the single are Phony Tony, an outtake from the Kingwood recording sessions, and a live version of their old fave Bullion.

Millencolin’s Pennywise, NOFX, Operation Ivy and Bad Religion-influenced sounds have so far sold over 1,500,000 worldwide with Gold Albums for Pennybridge Pioneers (Burning Heart/Epitaph, 2000), which Epitaph president and Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz requested to produce, and their last album Home From Home (Burning Heart/Epitaph, 2002), recorded in a month and released first in Australia and New Zealand, which debuted at #3 nationally in 2002.

Head on over to the Millencolin website where you can have a look at the new album, watch the Ray video clip, download an MP3 of Biftek Supernova from Kingswood and check out all the other stuff on their impressive website, such as the new Kingwood skate deck.

The clip for Ray is also available 56k and cable from the kind folks at Burning Heart Records, as is the Biftek Supernova MP3.

No Australian or New Zealand tour dates have been announced so far, but Millencolin are known to be quite fond of this corner of the world so perhaps they will be here sometime soon to support the new release.

Shock Records
are planning “some pretty exciting stuff…” around the album release and a “cool bonus for a very, very limited initial run of the album…” but are not giving any clues away as yet so stay tuned for more info.
