Blur return; first set-list
Mon 15th Jun, 2009 in International News
Just days after fellow – œ90s-rulers Faith No More made a winning comeback in London, Blur played a career-spanning show for “friends and family” in the English countryside. For the performance on Saturday night, the band returned to the site of its first-ever concert in 1988 – a modest goods shed that could fit just 150 people.
According to a BBC News review, “Blur seem to be friends again, and are clearly relishing the rediscovery of their old songs, which still sound great.” On that note, fans would find little to complain about in the 28-song, two-hour-plus set-list.
After this close-quarters affair, the band is forging on to the – œofficial’ comeback shows in Hyde Park, as well as headlining Glastonbury and T In The Park.
