The lineup for Japan’s biggest festival has just become even bigger.  Already featuring Fatboy Slim, Sigur Ros, the legendary Beach Boys, recent visitors to our shores The Music and a reformed Dinosaur Jr, artists just added include the Foo Fighters and Beck.

Over the past few years the Fuji Rock Festival has proven to be an accurate guide to which bands may make the extra trip down under for Splendour in the Grass.  In 2003 bands which played both festivals included Coldplay, The Music and Death in Vegas, while last year PJ Harvey, MC5, Franz Ferdinand, Ash, Dizzee Rascal and Ozomatli all performed at Splendour after the Japanese festival.

The Fuji Rock Festival will be held July 29,30 and 31 at Naeba Ski Resort in Japan.  The initial lineup announcement for Splendour in the Grass is expected early next month.
