After the gallant efforts of Guns N’ Roses drummer Steve Adler last season, ex- Alice In Chains bassist Mike Starr is the latest rock – œstar’ sign-up to Celebrity Rehab. For those in the dark, Celebrity Rehab is a misleadingly-titled series about the “real life experiences” of tenuously famous and toxin-addled people undergoing treatment. Presiding over it all is the earnest Dr. Drew Pinsky. Car-crash viewing does not come better.

Mike Starr, who was in the original AIC line-up until 1993, hasn’t done much except get into trouble since then. He’ll be keeping illustrious company in the 2010 season. The shame-list includes NBA relic Dennis Rodman, Hollywood Madame Heidi Fleiss, an America’s Next Top Model reject and country music singer Mindy McReady (who knows really).
