While that knockout Glastonbury 2009 line-up is busy hogging the limelight, the sold-out Reading/Leeds Festivals have responded with a batch of new names. The organisers were entitled to put their feet up after securing Radiohead as headliners (take that Glasto!), but instead they’ve built a formidable bill.

New additions to the mainstage include New Found Glory, Madina Lake and The Rakes. If that’s not the kind of action you’re after, the NME/Radio 1 Stage has bulked up considerably too. It’ll pretty much be an issue of NME in living colour, with Horrors, Crystal Castles, Passion Pit, Manchester Orchestra and more joining previously announced stars Gossip, Jamie T and Glasvegas. The Reading and Leeds Festivals are held on dual sites over the August bank holiday weekend.
