Weezer design a 'Snuggie'

Daytime infomercial addicts will be familiar with America’s latest gift to the world – the Snuggie. Literally – œa blanket with sleeves’, the Snuggie eschews fashion for maximum warmth. One particularly ardent fan of the invention is none other than Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo. In fact, his love goes so deep he’s collaborated with Snuggie on a Weezer-inspired design called the Wuggie.

It seems the company are pretty stoked with this celebrity endorsement. “A Wuggie is basically exactly like a Snuggie, except it says Weezer on it,” Cuomo enthused to Rolling Stone. “The people at Snuggie are doing it with us and promoting it with us. It’s a totally legit Snuggie.”

When they’re not jumping aboard the latest craze, Weezer are doing their darndest to elude Australia. In July, the band will play Summer Sonic in Japan (no Wuggie needed there) and the Jisan Valley Rock Festival in South Korea, before doing America alongside Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy.
