And now for the triple bill you never saw coming. Rolling Stone has reported Blink-182, Weezer and Fall Out Boy are joining forces for a US arena circuit from July to October. Blink singer Mark Hoppus confirmed the unlikely touring party on his blog, promising a spectacular live show from Kanye West and Daft Punk’s set designer.
“We used to walk onstage and forget our parts – we just wanted to play fast and look cool,” Hoppus told RS. “This time, we want to be more artistic.” Helping them strive for new artistic heights will be those indie-nerd pin-ups Weezer, whose presence on this bill is sure to inspire some scoffing. We’re not sure how Rivers and co. will make the tour’s 24 July kick-off though, as they’re already booked for the Jisan Valley Rock Festival in Korea.
