Having already announced a formidable roll-call of names for its 2009 edition, Roskilde Festival is keeping the good news coming. – œ90s head-melters Faith No More have joined the party alongside fellow headliners Nine Inch Nails, Kanye West, Oasis and Coldplay. It’s going to be one hell of a backstage area.

In early March, Faith No More began rehearsing for the first time in over 10 years. As reported earlier, original guitarist Jim Martin will not be returning. The band is ticking off the European festivals over the northern summer. As well as Roskilde, they’ll do Download in England, Belgium’s illustrious Pukkelpop, Rock en Seine in Paris and plenty more. That’ll fund a lot of Californian bungalows.

Perplexingly, Faith No More has yet another – œbest of’ collection due in June. Amusingly titled The Very Best Definitive Ultimate Greatest Hits Collection, the double-disc set covers the band’s landmark songs (always debatable) as well as b-sides and rarities. Fans will have to keep waiting for that hoped-for successor to 1997’s Album Of The Year.
