Music’s least techno-phobic celebrity Trent Reznor has just taken the wraps off the new Nine Inch Nails iPhone app. The application has taken a little longer than anticipated to surface, but no corners have been cut.
Available to download now through iTunes, nin: access is a shortcut to NIN news, discussion, photos, video and “location-based” conversation with other fans. According to Wired.com. that last feature is a GPS-enabled feature called – œNearby’, which the band’s documentarian Rob Sheridan describes as “kind of like Twitter within the Nine Inch Nails network.”
There’s a great rundown of how Reznor plans to use nin: access to further his “fan-centered business model” over at Wired. In the meantime, who better to explain the new app than Reznor himself? Check out his video rundown below.
