It seems U2 have some – œcreative thinkers’ in their A&R department. The lead single from No Line On The Horizon, Get Your Boots On, has been given the once over by French electro superstars Justice. As much as we wanted to tell you it sucks – because hating on a remix of U2 would be easier than shooting fish in a barrel – we’re somewhat happy to report that Xavier and Gaspard have done a pretty good job on this one.

We didn’t think it was possible to make U2 sound like anyone other than U2, but Justice succeed where many a remixer has failed in the past, de-Bono-fying the track considerably and giving it their trademark fuzz. “The menacing, distorted synth stomp flips to some toe-tapping piano and punchy keyboard bass,” writes Stereogum. “And suddenly Bono’s miles-a-minute non-sequiturs start to make sense. (Or, seem sensible.) By the hook, the stomp’s got swing.”
