With the alchemy of All Tomorrow’s Parties Australia still fresh in our minds, the pioneering festival is set to release a documentary. Titled (would you believe) All Tomorrow’s Parties, the “DIY concert film” is comprised of footage from over 200 filmmakers, fans and musicians.
Most of the doco was shot at ATP’s UK base, Camber Sands Holiday Centre. Artists captured in full flight include Iggy and the Stooges, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sonic Youth, Belle and Sebastian and Portishead.
It won’t all be shaky hands and camera phones, either, with seasoned filmmakers Jonathan Caouette and Vincent Moon contributing. All Tomorrow’s Parties had its film premiere at South by Southwest last week, but an Australian release date is not yet known.
