Mercurial multi-tasker Jack White now has another project to add to his portfolio. The White Stripes man has teamed up with The Kills firebrand Alison Mosshart to form new band The Dead Weather. Filling out the ranks of the super-group are Queens Of The Stone Age virtuoso Dean Fertita and Raconteurs bassist Jack Lawrence.

The Dead Weather played an intimate showcase for 150 guests at the Third Man Records office in Nashville on Wednesday night. This isn’t just a hobby band, either: an album, Horehound, is due in June. The down and dirty lead single Hang You From The Heavens is circulating now, and you can listen to it below.
