Devo whip up a new album

The Devolution is set to continue this year, with the pioneers of matching jumpsuits re-entering the studio. Work has begun on the first Devo studio album since 1990’s Smooth Noodle Maps, with an expected release date in 2010. In ‘07, the pop oddballs released a single, Watch Us Work It, which you can relive in the video below. Does this mean – gasp – they’ll have to make room for new stuff in the live show?
Devo is set to make an appearance at South by Southwest this year, before heading to London for a one-off performance of 1978’s Q: Are We Not Men, We Are Devo! in its entirety.
