Putting shame to AC/DC’s recent post-show ruckus, 111 people have been arrested after a riot broke out at an Iron Maiden concert in Bogota, Colombia. As reported by BBC News, hordes of ticket-less fans tried to force entry into the 25,000-capacity venue.
Whereas in Australia this would call for some heavy-handed security intervention, in Colombia they took it one better – calling in riot police with tear gas. The crowd returned fire with rocks, leaving one police officer with facial injuries.
Local authorities are said to be reconsidering whether – œheavy metal acts’ should be allowed to visit the country in future. As for the Iron Maiden concert – it went on as planned, with the band making no comment on the incident outside.
Check out the Colombian news report below – you won’t understand a damn thing!
