He may have created disco (tongue in cheek, of course), but it doesn’t mean Calvin Harris was cool enough to nab an invite to the NME Shockwaves Awards recently… even though he was nominated, and won!

Up for the Best Dancefloor Filler gong courtesy of his hit Dance Wiv Me with Dizzee Rascal, the duo won the award but Calvin was nowhere to be seen when it came time to accept. Not content to let the gaff go by without having a whine, he’s taken his displeasure to Twitter.

Harris, who wrote the music for the track, was clearly perturbed by NME’s guestlist blunder. “What kind of award ceremony has you win an award yet still doesn’t invite you?” Calvin complained. “Would you have loved Dance Wiv Me with no music? When’s the last time an accapella got to no.1?”

Luckily Dizzee thought to give him a thank you. Although it didn’t come until after he’d left the stage (check the video below). Dry those tears Calvin, everyone knows award shows are boring!
