The Boss is in for Glasto
Tue 24th Feb, 2009 in International News
With all tickets disappearing before any line-up announcement, Glastonbury could have settled for cut price headliners in 2009. Luckily there doesn’t seem to be any chance of that happening, with Bruce Springsteen now confirmed. It’ll be the man’s first showing at the mother of all English festivals – and a good chance to spruik his new album Working On A Dream.
“He’s one of the all-time rock legends and I’m confident that this will be one of our best shows ever,” Glasto chief Michael Eavis told media. “He’s also a Barack Obama supporter, which makes two headliners in a row who’ve backed the new President.”
The full Glastonbury line-up can’t be far off, with Neil Young and Blur the favourites for co-headliners. All the muddy madness goes down at Worthy Farm from 24 to 28 June.
