AC/DC concert starts a ruckus
Mon 23rd Feb, 2009 in International News
It’s been smooth sailing so far on AC/DC’s extensive Black Ice world tour, but a show last week in Norway ended in a good old-fashioned riot. According to Norwegian website Budstikka.no, punters travelling to the Telenor Arena near Oslo were stuck in lengthy traffic jams.
After a couple of hours in the company of the greying rock gods, there were more punishing delays leaving the venue. Shenanigans were well and truly declared, with fans turning on police officers and throwing bottles at patrol cars. Other pissed-off patrons pushed over crowd-control fences to make a break for it (unfortunately you don’t want to go far in -4°C conditions).
It’s the first notable upset on the band’s current road trip, which next takes them to Paris and Antwerp. Just about every stop is now sold out, including three gargantuan shows in London. Surely Australia can’t be far off? We promise to be well behaved…
