While Smashing Pumpkins fans are busy complaining the band is nothing without James Iha, James Iha is busy forming a super-group with some unlikely fellows. Coined Tinted Windows, the oddball collective is made up of Iha, Taylor Hanson from ‘90s pop machine Hanson, Cheap Trick stickman Bun E. Carlos and Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger.

Billboard reports Tinted Windows has recorded its debut album at Stratosphere Sound Studios in New York – and no, it won’t be a comedy release. The band will debut at Billboard’s South by Southwest showcase on 20 March in Austin, Texas. Ample time to book those flights kids!
