Trust an American Idol host to get the line-up of one of the world’s biggest rock festivals “completely wrong”. In this instance, RyanSeacrest.com jumped the gun on this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival line-up. The result? Officials have bluntly called it as a fake, according to the LA Times.
Not to say Ryan’s premature announcement wasn’t a wet dream in and of itself, with the likes of Morrissey, Paul McCartney and Primus joining the headliners of some of our most recent festivals: Neil Young, Nine Inch Nails, Public Enemy and The Killers.
As for when the official line-up will be released, “cheif architect” of Coachella Paul Tolett says “we’re still working on the show”. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, have a read of the Coachella 2008 review from FasterLouder contributor Mike Brown.
