Amongst the usual round-up of pop balladry and stadium rock, Radiohead is set to play this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony for the first time ever. The band is in contention for five awards at the 8 February shindig, including Album Of The Year for In Rainbows. The performance is being spruiked as Radiohead’s “first live U.S. television performance since 2000.”
Also on the cast list are Coldplay and Paul McCartney, who’s bringing Dave Grohl as his “special guest drummer.” There’ll be another heavyweight team-up on the night too. Jay-Z, Kanye West and T.I. will share the stage (and fight for the limelight) to deliver a live version of Swagga Like Us. Just try to stop Chris Martin making a guest appearance for that one.
