After much conjecture (and that frightening Chris Cornell-for-frontman rumour), hopes and fears for a Led Zeppelin reunion can now be laid to rest. “Led Zeppelin are over!” Jimmy Page’s manager Peter Mensch told Music Radar. “There are absolutely no plans for [the band] to continue. Zero. Frankly, I wish everybody would stop talking about it.”
Robert Plant had made it clear he wasn’t interested in reviving his Led Zep legacy, but the other remaining members rehearsed together anyway. With no appropriate Plant replacement found, you can stop wondering. “If you didn’t see them in 2007 [at the London O2 Arena], you missed them,” Mensch concluded. “It’s done. I can’t be any clearer than that.”
