The Flaming Lips curate ATPNew York

With the Australian premiere of All Tomorrow’s Parties nearing, ATP New York 2009 has named its curator. The programme is in the eminently inspired hands of The Flaming Lips, who will handpick around 15 acts to play alongside them.

The three-day gorge features – œDon’t Look Back’ sets on Friday, ATP-chosen acts on Saturday and the Flaming Lips’ line-up on Sunday. Wayne Coyne and co. are yet to make their selections, so we’ll have to wait and see how they measure up to our boy Nick Cave.

Dirty Three and Suicide are locked in for Don’t Look Back sets, while ATP has chosen Animal Collective, Antipop Consortium, Atlas Sound, Autolux, Black Dice and Panda Bear for its day. ATP New York takes over the Kutshers Country Club in Monticello from 11-13 September.
