- œTis the season for top ten lists, and the latest out of the bag ranks 2008’s most profitable touring acts. Billboard’s roll-call of the year’s top-earners is predictably dominated by the most bombastic in the biz.
However, the highest achiever wasn’t a Madonna or a Pink but perennially-windswept arena rockers Bon Jovi. The band’s – œLost Highway’ tour of Europe and America made a suitably immodest $210.6 million. They overshadowed Bruce Springsteen at $204.5 million, followed by the usual suspects: Madonna, The Police, Celine Dion, Kenny Chesney, Neil Diamond, Spice Girls, Eagles and Rascal Flatts (oh, them!). Could 2009 be the year we see Kings Of Leon romp into the list?
