Ultra Music gets an indieinjection

Staged at Miami’s Bicentennial Park during the Winter Music Conference, the Ultra Music Festival continues to swell with each successive year. While the line-up is primarily focused on big name DJs, there are always a few concessions for the live music fans. In 2007, The Cure famously played an epic set at the festival, nestled incongruously amongst the likes of Tiesto, Paul van Dyk and Erick Morillo.

Ultra returns in March ‘09 boasting the usual motherload of banner names. Recent visitors Bloc Party sit atop the list, alongside Aussie reps The Presets and Cut Copy, The Ting Tings, Hercules and Love Affair and Simian Mobile Disco.
