Far from being all foreplay and no pay-off, Chinese Democracy has scored an emphatic four out of five in an advance review by Rolling Stone. Axl Rose, it appears, hasn’t wrecked any damage on the Guns – œN Roses name. In fact, he’s done it proud.

“The first Guns n’ Roses album of new, original songs since the first Bush administration is a great, audacious, unhinged and uncompromising hard-rock record,” fires off David Fricke in the very first line of the review. There’s apparently a lot going on in the album’s 14 tracks – walls of shredding guitars, backing choirs, electronic flourishes and of course Axl’s screeched vocals.

“You may debate whether any rock record is worth that extreme self-indulgence,” Fricke concludes. “Actually, the most rock & roll thing about Chinese Democracy is he doesn’t care if you do.” Sold! Read the full review HERE.

Meanwhile, Kevin Cogill, the blogger who leaked nine songs from Chinese Democracy online back in June, has agreed to change his plea to – œguilty’. As reported by Wired, a federal prosecutor confirmed Cogill will plead guilty to one federal count of copyright. The maximum sentence is one year imprisonment.
