Hot on the heels of its Australian debut in January, the mighty All Tomorrow’s Parties will return to the UK in May with its ATP vs. the Fans event.

Coined The Fans Strike Back, this rather special edition of the festival will feature a line-up co-designed by ATP and its ticket-buyers. The organisers have already revealed their picks, which include Spiritualized in full band mode (as they’ll appear in Australia), Devo, Grails and a revived Sleep performing their landmark second album Holy Mountain.

And now to the fun part. Come 17 November, fans can begin voting for who they want to see on the bill. The festival is looking for artists who’ve never played an ATP event in Britain before, but we imagine calls for Coldplay will fall on deaf ears. May is a busy month for the All Tomorrow’s Parties camp, with another bash the following weekend at the same UK location. Curated by The Breeders, that one features the likes of Bon Iver, Throwing Muses, Teenage Fanclub and Holy Fuck. An embarrassment of riches indeed.
