San Francisco lads Peter Hayes and Robert Levon Been, better known as the remaining original members of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, yesterday announced that for the first time they will release a studio album independent of any record company.
New album The Effects of 333 is set to be release online at 3:33 am Pacific Time on November 1 via their own label, Abstract Dragon. Peter and Robert stated on the bands website that we can expect an album which holds “no lyrics, no apologies, no regrets, just abstract.”
With previous albums ranging from shoe-gazing to alt-country, what can one expect from this new release? Well, the tracklisting reads like a poem and the album’s conception took place over three years of touring, so perhaps the post rock hinted at on EP American X will finally be born?
