Scars On Broadway decideagainst touring

Due to appear on our shores for the Soundwave Festival in early 2009, Scars On Broadway singer-guitarist Daron Malakian has decided “his heart wasn’t into touring”. The remark came as the band cancelled all dates on its prospective North American tour.
A statement released to Blabbermouth.net revealed: “Scars On Broadway’s North American tour, scheduled to begin October 19, as well as their October 14 performance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, have been cancelled. Late last week, Malakian concluded that his heart wasn’t into touring at this time, so he made the decision to cancel all scheduled performances. There are no plans to re-schedule.”
Scars On Broadway, formed by Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan after the dissolution of System Of A Down, have given no indication of future plans. True to form, fan message-boards are already buzzing with speculation on a SOAD reunion. So what does this mean for Soundwave? We’ll have to wait and see…
